The association examined 72,000 patients, created files for them and categorized them on the computer.
12,300 open heart surgeries (valve replacement - artery replacement) were performed.
19,300 diagnostic and therapeutic catheterizations were performed (balloon dilatation - stent placement).
17,540 ultrasound scans were performed.
About 100 members of Al-Jazeera Club were examined by consultants from the Heart Institute on World Heart Day, and the necessary tests were performed on them.
A scientific conference was held in which the latest scientific developments in heart diseases, especially those related to congenital defects in children, were revealed. The conference was attended by a group of the most prominent cardiologists in Egypt and abroad, headed by Professor Dr. Magdi Yacoub.
We have partnered with the Lily Charity Association (Monaco - South of France) to perform critical heart surgeries for children.
The association provides monthly assistance to poor patients and their families (financial assistance - free medicine).

The patients who were examined were transferred to 6th of October University Hospital, Misr University for Science and Technology Hospital, and the National Heart Institute to perform catheterization or heart surgeries. The necessary medical tests were conducted on them.
Portable ultrasound diagnostic devices were purchased for ease of use when examining heart patients in different governorates, especially remote areas in Egypt.
During the months of May, June and July of each year, the association implements treatment convoys in clubs, youth centers, Al-Asmarat neighborhood and Decent Life villages.
The Egyptian Hearts Charity Association, in cooperation with the Gezira Sports Club and Dar Al Fouad Hospital, organized a day for free examinations at the Gezira Club, 6th of October branch, including heart, pediatric, orthopedic, and women’s specialties, in addition to analyses, electrocardiograms, and body mass index.
The association, which works to provide health awareness, as well as examination, treatment and surgeries for heart patients and children, extended its thanks and appreciation to Mr. Sherif Seif El-Nasr, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gezira Club, Mr. Ihab Leheta, Member of the Board of Directors, and Major General Sami Zaghloul, Director of the Club’s Branch in 6th of October, for their cooperation and providing all the capabilities to make the day come out in the best possible way. The association also thanked Dar Al Fouad Hospital, which participated with a medical team at the highest level in the specialties of women, bones, analysis and obesity treatment, especially Dr. Osama El-Garwany, Managing Director of Dar Al Fouad Hospital, and Dr. Ihab Saad, Medical Director of Dar Al Fouad Hospital.
The association’s senior doctors and board members participated in this day, including Secretary General Dr. Ahmed Tamara, Professor of Cardiology and Catheterization at Ain Shams University, Dr. Amal Idris, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and Consultant of Pediatrics and Neonatology, Dr. Mahmoud Tantawi, Professor of Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization at Misr University, and Counselor Mohamed El-Hagry, Director of the Hearts of Egypt Association.
